1. In order to access the headlights, remove the plastic cowl cover by disconnecting several 1/2 inch head bolts.

2. The grille is secured by two 3/8 inch bolts at the top. The lower section of the grille has tabs that fit into brackets at the bottom. To remove the grille, loosen the lower brackets.

3. The actuator canister is secured by two 7/16 inch bolts an the rod is held on with a C-clip. Remove the vacuum hoses from the unit and the C-clip securing the actuator rod, then loosen the two nuts holding the unit on. It really couldn't be much simpler.

4. The two new vacuum actuators, springs, and an assortment of bushings are from Ames Performance Engineering.

5. The kit comes with installation instructions.

6. This special support bushing was missing on both sides of our GTO. The bushing should make the transition between open and closed headlights much easier on the actuator.

7. The bushing snaps into position from the back side. It supports the long rod that goes from the actuator to the headlight door.
